Konstantinos Vasileiadis - EuroBasket 2013 Profile

Team 2012-13: Uxue Bizkaia Bilbao (Spain-ACB)
Career: PAOK Thessaloniki (Greece-ESAKE, 2000-06); Unicaja Malaga (Spain-ACB 2006-07), Olympiacos Piraeus (Greece-ESAKE 2007-08); PAOK Thessaloniki (Greece-ESAKE 2008-09); Sutor Basket Montegranaro (Italy-Lega, 2009); Obradoiro CAB (Spain-ACB, 2009-10); Bizkaia Bilbao (Spain-ACB, 2010-13)

It has taken a long time, but Kostas Vasileadis has finally reached the point in his career where he can enjoy his basketball and make use of his extended offensive repertoire without feeling he has to adapt to people's perceptions of what kind of player he should be, or even worse, struggling to convince people that he deserves a spot on the national team. Vasileadis was made captain of a historical club as a teenager, when PAOK looked upon him as the successor to Pedja Stojakovic, but it was in Spain, first at Obradoiro and then at Bilbao, that he found his Ithaca. Just two years after his debut in a big tournament with Greece, he arrives at EuroBasket 2013 as an established star and will afterwards join Turkish powerhouse Anadolu Efes as one of the most sought-after sharp-shooting scorers in Europe.
