Lemesos center Ryan Randle made a cameo appearance at the 2007 All Star Game to win the slam dunk contest.

The 206cm Randle fought off some stiff competition from fellow Cypriot League players Tshomba Duke (Omonia), Isaac Burton (Achilleas) and two Slamnation dunking specialists including Kadour Ziani.

But in the end it was consistency that won through as Randle was the only player to make both of his dunks in the final.

"The two guys from France the Slamnation, those guys are crazy. But then I saw they missed and I tried to tell them you have to make your dunks and you will be ok."

Although not an experienced dunk contest competitor, Randle was happy for the chance to be involved in the All Star experience.

"This is the second dunk contest I have participated in. They asked me if I wanted to participate in the All Star game and I said sure, I get a free jersey so I’m cool."
