Alessandra Santos has joined the World team for the EuroLeague Women All-Star game following Yolanda Griffith's withdrawal from the event.

Santos, a major contributor for Brazil's national team over the last decade, played for Ros Casares this year in the EuroLeague Women.

The World team also suffered some other setbacks: Diana Taurasi of Dynamo Moscow had to back out of the game due to a commitment with the United States Olympic team and Penny Taylor, Suzy Batkovic and Nikki Teasley are all injured and unable to play.

Due to the late changes, Rachill Robinson and Allyson Hardy have been drafted into the World squad. Robinson, a 185 cm center and Hardy, a 167 cm guard are both playing in Hungary with Kanisza DKK.

Thus, the World team will have 10 players, while the European squad will maintain its original roster of 12.
