Former Detroit Piston Rick Mahorn and current club public address announcer John Mason took part in the EuroCup All-Star Day.

Mahorn, a prominent member of the Pistons NBA title teams in the late nineties, provided English language television commentary for the All-Star Day.

Along with showcasing some of the most talented players competing in Europe, the EuroCup All-Star Day also focused on providing a fun and memorable experience to all through various forms of entertainment.

The entertainment was highlighted by the Luvabull cheerleaders and Matadors from the Chicago Bulls.

Marcus Hatten did in the All-Star Day what he has done all season.

The leading scorer in the EuroCup with 22.7 a game tallied 17 points in 18 minutes of play to lead the World team to victory and claim the Most Valuable Player.

Jarod Stevenson of Fenerbahce and the World team hit his final shot to win the three-point shootout in dramatic fashion.

Stevenson and Gianmarco Pozzecco of the European squad advanced out of a field of six to the final shootout after both tallied 18 in the first round.

CSU Asesoft's Catalin Burlacu replaced the injured Vladimir Veermenko of Dynamo on Europe's team for the EuroCup All-Star Day.

Burlacu, a Romanian international, averaged 13 points with CSU to earn the All-Star Day replacement selection.

FIBA Europe board member Alexander Volkov provided an informative keynote address on sports management issues during the 2nd European Basketball Conference held this morning at the Four Seasons Hotel in Limassol, Cyprus.

Volkov offered a unique perspective as a former player with the USSR national team and Atlanta Hawks in the NBA as well as the founder and President of BC Kyiv.
