Former Detroit Piston Rick Mahorn and current club public address announcer John Mason took part in the EuroCup All-Star Day.
Mahorn, a prominent member of the Pistons NBA title teams in the late nineties, provided English language television commentary for the All-Star Day.
Currently, Mahorn serves as broadcaster for Detroit Pistons basketball games and also is an assistant coach for the Detroit Shock in the WNBA.
“It was a great experience,” said Mahorn following the game.
"I got to see first-hand a whole new brand of basketball."
"Cyprus is a nice place and the people here have been very friendly."
Mason is the public address announcer for the Pistons and is famous for the excitement and energy he generates during Detroit’s games.
He served as the pubic address announcer for the game and came away positive after his first EuroCup All-Star Day.
“I did this coming of the plane after 14 hours, so it was not easy,” said Mason.
"But this was a full house, the fans were full of energy and it was a really good environment."
