The players that participate in the U20 European Championship Women Division B 2011 in Ohrid, F.Y.R. of Macedonia leave it all out on the court.
Much is at stake with only two spots available for promotion to Division A and the Semi-Finals' losers already out of contention and thus the intensity is always high.
There is sweat, there are tears, and sometimes there might be blood.
It is this intensity that makes the spectators enjoy the games.
"Seeing those young athletes playing their heart out for their country is always great" commented FIBA Europe President Olafur Rafnsson, who paid a visit to the tournament.
"It just shows how important this competition is for everybody here."
Despite following the action on the court the President had a tight schedule of meetings with the Basketball Federation of the FYR of Macedonia and the Local Organisers.
"We are very thankful to our friends here, who are doing a great job, hosting at least one Youth European Championship year in, year out" said Rafnsson.
"The organisation is fantastic and the conditions for the participants are ideal." He added.
While the President's tight schedule did not allow a longer stay, he found warm words of fare well.
"I wish all teams here the best of luck for the rest for the tournament. I hope the best team will win at the end."
