Roundup: Poland Make It Three On The Trot

17 July 2010

Only Group D saw action on the fourth day of the Division B U20 European Championship Men 2010 in Austria as Poland made it three victories on the bounce with a great team performance against Norway who fell to their first loss having won their opening two games.

Poland were far too strong for the Norwegians both inside and out as they shot the ball really well and ruled the boards to rack up an impressive 91-70 success.

Five players reached double digits with Aleksander Czyz top scoring with 17 points and also pulling down eight rebounds.

Karamo Jawara finished as the leading scorer in the game with 21 points for Norway.

In the other game, Slovakia made it two wins from three after easing their way past Belarus 64-53. Both teams struggled to find any real rhythm but the Slovaks were in control from tip to buzzer - despite only scoring 9 points in the third quarter. Michal Kozar led the way with 11 points and six rebounds.
