Alena Hanusova had 16 points and nine rebounds to lead Czech Republic to a convincing 71-37 victory over Greece in the quarter-finals of the U20 European Championship for Women Division B to set up a semi-final showdown with neighbors Slovakia - 49-46 winners over Hungary.
The other semi-final - with the winner gaining promotion next summer to Division A - will see Great Britain taking on Portugal. Great Britain beat Israel 72-65 and Portugal eased past Belgium 59-40.
The Czechs, who dropped from Division A last year, allowed just 16 points in the first half and then finished off the Greeks with a 24-9 fourth quarter.
Dana Kuslitova added 11 points and Dominika Brezinova had 10 for the Czechs, who have not won a U20 Division A medal since bronze in 2004.
Slovakia trailed Hungary by as many as 11 points before eventually prevailing with Renata Baburova's two free throws with six seconds left in a 49-46 win.
