Pop Named MVP

Romania forward Claudia Pop was voted the MVP of the U20 European Championship Women 2009 Division B, in Ohrid.

Pop helped Romania win promotion to Division A by guiding them to the final game of the tournament in F.Y.R. of Macedonia.

She led the scorers' table with 20.1 PPG while she was third in assists (4.4) and ninth in rebounds (6.9).

Pop, her Romania team-mate, Ramona Tarta at guard, Francisca Donders of champions Netherlands at point-guard, Kim Mestdagh of Belgium at forward, and Claudia Lukacovicova (Slovakia) at center made up the five of the event's All Tournament Team.

The Fair Play award was given to the F.Y.R. of Macedonia and was received by the country's Basketball Federation President, Daniel Dimevski.
