Serbia limited Lithuania to just nine points after 14 minutes played to take command 27-9.

Lithuania cut the deficit 40-30 with six minutes to go in the third quarter but got no closer.

"Serbia were more aggressive than us and we couldn't stop them," said Lithuania's Diana Zintikaite.

"It's difficult to play against them when you trail by such a big margin early on.

"But we tried our best."

Serbia out-rebounded Lithuania 42-35.

There was little last year's gold-medal winners could do as Serbia hit 23 of 46 (50%) shots from inside the arc while Lithuania were 12 of 36 (33.3%).
