Hosts Italy knocked off Montenegro 73-51 to advance to the Ninth Placed Game of the U20 European Championship for Women where they take on the Czech Republic - 78-69 winners over Belarus.
Chiara Consolini and Martina Crippa both scored 15 points for Italy, who led 22-10 after one period and never looked back in front of the home fans.
Biljana Turcinovic and Snezana Aleksic both collected 10 points and 10 rebounds while Milica Jovanovic added 16 points and nine rebounds. But it was not enough for the 2007 Division B champions Montenegro.
Taking on Italy on Sunday for ninth place will be Czech Republic, who beat Belarus 78-69 as Lenka Sipova's 20 points paced four players in double figures.
A key 9-0 run in the fourth quarter gave the Czechs the win while Katerina Hindrakova and Eva Mrhalkova both scored 14 points and Kamila Stepanova added 11 points and 13 rebounds.
Tatsiana Likhtarovich scored 25, Natallia Kozun had 18 and Hanna Tsikhamirava added 14 for Belarus, whose only lead was 2-0.
Montenegro and Belarus will play Sunday for 11th place.
