All Eyes On Starting Five For Portugal U20

Portugal coach Orlando Simoes knows his team must have an excellent month of July if they are to make an impact at the U20 European Championship Division B tournament in Romania, in August.

The Portuguese, who have been drawn in Group A with Norway, Finland, Great Britain and FYR of Macedonia, finished 12th last year at the U18 European championship in Bulgaria and some of those players will be looking to climb even higher in the standings in Targu Mures.

Germany U20 Lose Hauer To Injury // 06 March 2008 Germany's chances of winning promotion at the U20 European Championship Men Division B this summer in Romania have taken a hit with playmaker Sajmen Hauer ruled out of the August event after undergoing surgery on his right Achilles tendon. The Germans finished fourth at the 2007 Division B championship last summer, losing to Finland in the semi-finals. And the Brose Baskets Bamberg point guard Hauer, who turns 20 on March 14, averaged 9.1 points, 2.0 rebounds and 2.3 assists.
