Sweden Dominate Tournament, Star Team In Poznan

Three Sweden players feature in the All-Tournament team of the U20 European Championship Women Division B, in Poznan, Poland.

Sweden captured the title by beating the hosts 64-60 in the final, on Sunday. Both teams had already secured promotion to Division A.

The twin sisters Frida and Elin Eldebrink and Louice Halvarsson from champions Sweden together with Poland's Agniezska Skobel and Hungary's Finda Mansare were selected in the All-Tournament team.

In addition point-guard Frida Eldebrink was voted as the tournament's MVP.

The tournament's Fair Play award was given to the Ireland team.

Malin Edlund led all scorers in the final with 20 points but Frida Eldebrink was outstanding as an overall performer with 18 points, nine rebounds and five assists.

Halvarsson added 13 points and grabbed 12 boards.

Poland led their opponents for three quarters but they collapsed in the final period, scoring only seven. Joanna Zalesiak had 17 points and eight rebounds in the losing effort.
