Qualifying Round Set

The qualifying round groups are set at the Termosteps U16 European Championship Men, Division B being played in Skopje, Macedonia.

Poland and England were the only two teams to make it through the preliminary round unscathed as they both ended the first round with perfect 4-0 records.

England capped their effort with an impressive 139-24 win over minnows Armenia.

Eight England players finished the game in double figures including William Hall who dropped in 19 points and grabbed 10 rebounds in the victory.

They were comfortably in the lead throughout the game but really turned it on in the fourth quarter, out scoring their opponents 40-2 in the fourth quarter.

Poland were also impressive getting a five for 10 night from behind the three-point line in crushing the hosts 98-49.

The Polish will compete with the Netherlands, Hungry and Cyprus in Group F for the right to go to the semi-finals.

England will start atop group E, where they will take on Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro and Sweden.

Qualifying round play will begin Thursday with England facing Sweden and Montenegro taking on Bosnia and Herzegovina in Group E while Hungary take on Cyprus and the Netherlands face Poland in Group F.
