Finland, Poland, Portugal and Montenegro all maintained their 100% records at the UMCOR U18 European Championship Men, Division B.

In Group G, the Finns edged out Austria after a magnificent final quarter when, having trailed marginally throughout, they outscored their opponents 30-19 to win 76-75.

The Montenegro-Ukraine meeting in Group F was another game decided by a single point.

It was nip-and-tuck throughout, but a third-quarter blitz 24-15 in favour of the Montenegrins, led by Nikola Lalic's 21 points, meant they held on for the win.

Portugal were rampant against Group H rivals Ireland in winning 81-69, although Keith Anderson was the game's top scorer with 25 points for the beaten side.

Poland were also looking good in winning their third straight game of the competition, beating Belgium 67-55.

Elsewhere, Sweden succumbed to the Czech Republic 69-71, Slovakia easily overcame Holland 84-57, Bosnia and Herzegovina were in top form in seeing off Hungary 87-66 and Norway edged Luxembourg 86-81.
