Tournament MVP Silvia Dominguez dedicated Spain's gold medal to absent coach Jordi Fernandez.

Inspired by Dominguez, the Spanish demolished Serbia 75-60 to claim their first U20 European title on Sunday in Sofia.

The 1.66 m tall guard was a one-woman wrecking crew.

Silvia Dominguez had an exceptional gold medal game with 21 points and eight rebounds.
She poured in 21 points, pulled down eight rebounds, grabbed three steals and dished out three assists.

"I really want to dedicate the gold medal to Jordi," said Dominguez.

"We miss him and his absence has only made us stronger."

Spain suffered a big setback with their coach Fernandez having to undergo an eye operation days prior to the start of the tournament.

Under assistant coach Susana Garcia, Spain beat the likes of defending champions Russia, twice defeated Serbia to cruise to the title while remaining undefeated.

"It hasn't been easy," admitted Dominguez.

"But we have proved that we are a very good team, with a lot of character and ambition.

"I really don't believe that I deserve to be the best player in the tournament, I'm just happy to have helped my team win gold."

The All Tournament Five are as follows:

Silvia Dominguez (Spain)
Bahar Caglar (Turkey)
Endene Miyem (France)
Maria Pina (Spain)
Miljana Musovic (Serbia)

In addition, Anna Pokoiova of Ukraine was presented with the Fair Play Award for outstanding sportsmanship during the competition.
