Serbia Dominate France En Route To Final

Miljana Musovic poured in a game-high 20 points as Serbia crushed France 76-64 to reach their first ever final at the the U20 European Championship for Women.

France led 31-30 after 17 minutes played but led by Musovic's hot hand, Serbia hit their opponents with a 19-5 run that bridged the second and third quarter to take control of the game.

Musovic had great support from team-mate Tamara Radocaj who added 17 points and dished out six assists.

Serbia will face the winner of Spain versus Turkey in Sunday's final.

"I am just so thrilled that we have reached the final," said Musovic.

"This is my fourth final with this generation and we are over the moon.

"We lost against Spain and we proved how strong this group is against a difficult team like France.

"Regardless of who we face in the final, I can assure you we are all going to give 200% to win."

Serbia, who led 41-34 at half-time, took a 63-47 advantage going into the final stanza.

France outscored Serbia 17 to 13 over the next 10 minutes but it wasn't sufficient to see Les Bleues avoid their first defeat of the tournament.

Endene Miyem finished with a team-high 19 points, nine of which came in a level opening quarter (20-20).

Serbia were superior shooting the ball, hitting five of 13 (38.5%) from beyond the arc and 20 of 35 (57.l1%) inside it.

By contrast, the French were 21 of 48 (43.8%) inside the arc and just three of 14 (21.4%) from long range.
