Belgium Clinches Quarter-final Round Berth

Belgium easily defeated the Netherlands 75-50 today in Sibiu, Romania to clinch a berth in the quarter-final round of the Umcor U18 European Championship Men Division B.

Yannick Driesen, Belgium's 215-cm center, led the way with a game-high 32 points as Belgians finished thier Group C preliminary round play with a record of 3-1 to advance along with Sweden.

In a battle of unbeatens, Poland beat Austria 70-49 in Group B play. Both countries advance to the quarter-final round.

England took care of Portugal 68-61 to secure a perfect 3-0 record in Group A, while Portugal, despite being handed their first defeat, also advanced.

In Group D, Estonia clinched first place and advanced to the quarter-final round following a 76-62 victory over Scotland. Romania finished with a 3-1 record in the group and also advanced.
