Latvia earned a spot in the final of the Termosteps U16 European Championship Women Divison with victory over Romania.
The win also sees Latvia gain promotion to Division A next year.
Romania got 27 points and 13 rebounds from center Elisabeth Pavel but it was not enough to prevent an 81-60 defeat.
Latvia saved their best form for the final quarter to outscore Romania 26-9 and come away with the win.
The Latvian defense managed to neutralise Pavel in the final period thanks to some strong defensive play from center Anete Steinberga.
With Pavel unable to impact the game, Latvia opened up a 10-point gap, 67-57 and closed the contest with a 14-3 run to complete victory.
Anete Steinberga scored 19 points and grabbed 12 rebounds for Latvia. Ieva Krastina also had 19 points for Latvia.
