Five players scored in double-digits as Serbia & Montenegro cruised to a 98-68 win over France in the Termosteps U16 European Championship in Spain.
Serbia & Montenegro secured a 2-1 record in Group F, good for second place and a berth in the semi-finals.
They shot 50 percent for the field for the game and took command early by outscoring the French 27-16 in the first quarter.
Bojan Subotic, who led the way for Serbia & Montenegro with 19 points and 11 rebounds, hit a three-pointer with two seconds left in the second quarter to allow his team to go into halftime with a 49-31 lead.
Aleksandar Vlahovic’s three-pointer midway through the third put his side ahead 61-36 and from there on, Serbia & Montenegro would maintain at least a 20-point lead until the final buzzer.
France dropped to 0-3 in the quarter-final round.
