Lami-Véd Körmend lived to fight another day in the EuroChallenge on Tuesday, propelled by an almost infallible Matthew Shaw.
The Hungarian side came from behind to register their first win in the competition, 97-86 against BC Timisoara, after outscoring their opponents 36-16 in the fourth quarter.
Shaw scored 10 points in quick succession at the beginning of that final frame to spur a Körmend 15-3 run that turned the game on its head.
The American forward/center finished with 33 points on 13-of-18 shooting from the floor and added seven boards and two assists.
What really catapulted his efficiency rating though is that, in a game of this importance, he didn't commit any turnovers despite staying on the floor for almost the entire game (38 minutes).
Shaw's rating in this game was 38 and he is the him EuroChallenge Regular Season Week 4 MVP.
Interestingly, the four players behind Shaw on the table this week reached an efficiency rating that would have earned them MVP honours during Week 3.
Jermaine Flowers of Joensuun Kataja came closest, with 28 points, 10 rebounds and eight steals against CSU Asesoft Ploiesti.
Shaw's team-mate Zvonko Buljian and Sean May of Paris Levallois, in third and fourth place respectively, are the other two players.
