Mante Kvederaviciute was perhaps something of a surprise inclusion on the preliminary roster for EuroBasket Women 2011, but that does not mean she won't find herself on the bench in Poland and ready to step onto the court and make some crucial shots for the team. Despite having neither played for the senior National Team or in European club competition, Coach Paulauskas clearly sees the 20-year-old guard as having the potential and ability to be an option for him. While she did not put up any big numbers for the National Team at youth level, she did play at the U19 World Championship Women in Thailand in 2009. Meanwhile at club level last season she played almost 30 minutes per game for Laisve and showed her willingness to do the dirty work on the glass as well as handling or shooting the ball by claiming over 6 rebounds per game.
