The naturalised forward took last summer off, having been the team's top scorer at EuroBasket Women 2011, despite not finding her true shooting touch. Lawless is expected to return to the roster to lead the charge again, having spent her first season playing in Russia with Dynamo Kursk which was something of a stop-start affair, due to injury. But, she can be a difference-maker on her day and game-winners will be what the Slovak Republic need to make the second phase. She can drain shots from downtown which will go a long way to defining the success her team has in France. She can also make jump-shots closer to the basket and thrives on working hard in the paint.
