After five years with Kayseri Kaski spor and two EuroCup Women Final appearances, Demirok will be playing her basketball elsewhere next season, after recently penning a deal with Istanbul University, who are making strong moves to build a team capable of challenging for silverware. She might not have put up big numbers last season after a below-par shooting performance, but there's recognition within Turkish basketball of the contribution she made to the success and progress of Kayseri - something which may also now mean a promotion to senior national team duty. The minutes she is handed reflect the passion, desire and strong team ethic she has, which is about more than stats. She displayed the same attributes at youth level, regularly out-rebounding forwards and there's also a sense that her game is still evolving and she is ready to really make a splash. |
