Career: Power Electronics Valencia (Spain-ACB/EBA, 2007-10), Verviers-Pepinster (Belgium-D1, 2010-11)

Pretty much unstoppable at youth level where he has been a sensation in a Georgia vest, it's now time for Tornike Shengelia to prove he can also have an impact with the senior National Team. The early signs are positive, he contributed last summer during the Qualifying Round but having to deal with the expectation that have been on his shoulders since he was a kid isn't proving easy. Still a teenager for a few more months, he spent last season playing in Belgium having been brought up through the youth system in Valencia where he also grabbed some limited time in the ACB and in Europe. Offensively he is creative and has a lot of attributes and combines this with plenty of hard work. He possesses good athleticism, he is quick and crashes the board. He still has to find some consistency from three-point range but is continuing his basketball education and has many years to evolve and mature.
