Excellent at sensing his opponents' vulnerabilities, Muhammed also displays the ability to split opponents' defences when he drives to the hoop. Last season, playing with Pinar Karsiyaka, was arguably his best, but it was 12 months previous when everything began to fall into place, being named MVP of the Turkish Cup after delivering the trophy to the Izmir side. But it was this past season when he reached an even greater level when he delivered his team the Turkish Basketball League title following a 28-year wait. He was deservedly named MVP, averaging 18.5 points and 4.6 assists per game, picking apart two Euroleague teams in Fenerbahce and Anadolu Efes. This summer he signed with Fenerbahce, his 11th club on a 10-year-long European adventure. A fan of Muhammed Ali, he got the same name upon gaining Turkish citizenship, Ali Muhammed.
