The relentless progress of Czech Republic's talented young playmaker shows no sign of slowing down. Having left his homeland at 17 to further his development in Spain, Satoransky moved on after five fruitful years at Cajasol Sevilla to join one of the biggest clubs in European basketball, FC Barcelona. Satoransky carved out a niche on Barcelona's star-studded roster, finishing the season as one of the team's best players in their run to the ACB play-off finals. The energetic point guard displayed all the facets of his well-rounded game in competing with experienced Brazilian playmaker Marcelo Huertas for playing time. "Saty" has always caught the eye on offence, equally happy on the giving and receiving end of lob passes that can bring the house down, as witnessed with two victories in the Liga Endesa dunk contest. His shooting has also developed into a weapon that opponents cannot leave untended, connecting on almost half of his 50 attempts from behind the arc during the ACB season. The amiable floor general has shown strong leadership skills from an early age, and he will be keen to take his team further in 2015 after being slowed by a rib injury in 2013.
