Capable of producing big numbers on the court, Arturs Berzins needs to find that self-confidence within himself to produce on a consistent basis. He has plenty of attributes to call upon and not least his strength in the paint and ability to finish around the hoop. He is also a strong rebounder, especially defensively. One thing that he needs to work on is his mid-range jump shot, although having just turned 23-years-old he still has time to further enhance his skill level. Now that he's in the regular rotation at BK Ventspils, he can develop his growing talents, and work on his weaknesses to ensure he has the best possible opportunity of finally being given a chance with the National Team. He has previously played at the World Student Games and at youth level for his country.
