UNIQA Euroleasing Sopron have taken the difficult decision to let star forward Tijana Krivacevic leave for Spain to play for Rivas Ecopolis.
She has signed a deal that will keep her at Rivas for the remainder of the 2011-12 campaign.
Krivacevic, a Serbian-born, Hungary international, has averaged 9.3 points and 3.8 rebounds per contest for Sopron in the EuroLeague Women this season.
Sopron have taken the move, the club's chief executive officer Zoltan Török said, "primarily for economic reasons."
Rivas are hoping they have added a player that will help them snap a three-game losing streak in the EuroLeague Women when it resumes on 11th January against Basket Lattes Montpellier Agglomeration (BLMA).
The French club is, like Rivas, 5-5.
Krivacevic is only 21 years of age, yet already has several years of EuroLeague Women experience under her belt.
She made her debut in 2007 as a player at Sopron's Hungarian rivals, MiZo Pecs.
Krivacevic played at the 2009 EuroLeague Women Final Four in Salamanca, Spain.
