Pavel Pumprla left his homeland to play abroad at age 26 and it seems that he not only made the right move but that he has also picked up the right club. At Obradoiro where he just renewed for the coming season, the Czech forward feels at home - he averages well over 20 minutes-per-game, he is good with the fans and he loves the opposition dished up in the Liga Endesa. In only his first season in what is arguably Europe's top league, Pumprla's contribution is notable: 6.4 points, 3.4 rebounds and 1.4 assists-per-game during 22 minutes on the floor. Pumprla is something of a swiss army knife for coach Budinsky in the national team: in the EuroBasket 2013 Qualification Round he averaged 5.9 points, 3.3 rebounds and 2.5 assists in just over 21 minutes-per-game. His role model is Andre Agassi.
