It's been one of the most talked about sagas of the summer but Emir Preldzic could step out for Turkey at EuroBasket 2011 having previously represented Slovenia three years ago. His decision to pursue playing in a Turkish vest was controversial and not only disappointed Slovenian fans but also Bosnia and Herzegovina fans who had hoped he might play for the country of his birth. Preldzic is a phenomenal talent and a big hit in Turkey where he has played in the last two All Star games. He can handle the ball well, initiate offences, scores, rebounds and has a huge basketball IQ. In fact there is little Preldzic doesn't possess and if he does step out for his adopted nation, Turkey get the services of an excellent player who at 23 years of age heading into the tournament, is still evolving and getting better.
