Anna De Forge was all set and raring to go last summer when she suffered a serious injury and missed out on playing in the Qualifying Round for her adopted nation. A former EuroLeague Women and WNBA All Star with experience in the elite club competitions on both sides of the Atlantic De Forge is hugely experienced and is expected to make her tournament debut for Montenegro. She recovered from being side-lined with her ACL injury and returned to Liga Femenina action in January. As she works towards getting fully fit, this veteran star will provide a perfect boost for a Montenegro backcourt which could do with some additional firepower. She can contribute from the wing positions but also get down low too. She is fondly remembered back home in the States as the first player from the University of Nebraska to make it in the WNBA and what better place to step out for her adopted country than in Poland where she made a real name for herself with Wisla Can-Pack.
