Although he missed the Qualifying Round last summer just as he did ahead of EuroBasket 2009, former NBA center Robert Archibald should be back in the team to offer his elite level talent, experience and leadership. A marquee player for Great Britain, Archibald understands what it takes to win at the very highest level. He is an intense competitor and a veteran player who will work relentlessly on the glass, down low and will most likely be the primary option for the pick and roll which he is always happy to exploit. Meanwhile defensively, the know-how and hustle of Archibald inside will be critical in matching up with opposing centers in the paint and getting the rebounds to initiate potential scores in transition. He will be a real rock for coach Finch and the team if he stays healthy.
