Team 2010-11: Power E. Valencia (Spain-ACB).
Career: Pamesa Valencia (young teams), Pamesa Valencia (Spain-ACB, 2006-2011)
Victor Claver has plenty of talent but, until 2009, he was "only" an invitee to the National Team camp (2007 and 2008), and had failed to make the final cut. Eventually, in 2009 and 2010, he traveled with Spain to EuroBasket and the World Championship, a valuable experience that helped him get even better. Last year, with Valencia, he was brilliant, filling every line on the stat sheet (12.5 ppg, 5.0 rpg, 2.7 apg and 1.5 spg in the ACB) and affirming himself as a consistent go-to-guy. Capable of playing both forward positions, he can use his outside shooting (36-for-89 last year), his off-the-dribble jumpers as well as his physical abilities (he won the 2007 Slam Dunk contest of the ACB league) to fool the defence. NBA material, no question about it.
