Andrejs Selakovs is a strong up-and-coming big man who knows how to use his large frame inside and is a real threat when in the low post. The man mountain also has a reliable mid-range jump shot, but rarely uses it. His main strengths though involve put-backs, rebounding and using his quick feet and large body to get into the right places in the paint. He is still raw at the elite level but there is no doubt this is a great learning opportunity for Selakovs, as he continues his path to establish himself as one of Latvia's premier big men. Certainly if he can finish as clinically around the hoop as he did last summer during the Qualifying Round then he will be a big plus coming off the bench. |
