Once the golden boy of his generation, Michal Chylinski looks in 2013 to have finally arrived at where he was projected to be. At 18, he signed a long-term contract with Unicaja Malaga and was set for a debut in the senior national team. But injuries, strong competition and problems with defining his true position on the court slowed him down and for some time he went underwater. Then it worsened, when he lost a full season due to a bad injury in summer 2010. But the last two years with Turow Zgorzelec have been a prosperous time for "Chylu", as he emerged as the true leader of the team last season, leading them to silver in the PLK. He greatly improved his shooting, so the goods he brings to the table (passing, ball-handling, defence, high IQ) became even more important. His comeback to the national team can be as sensational as the comeback for Turow was.
