After some difficult seasons, Luca Vitali expressed his huge potential in Cremona, where he was able to use his passing skills beside some good scoring consistency and three-point accuracy (45% throughout the season). Vitali earned his confidence back, and he could be able to bring some unique features: he is Italy's tallest point guard, and his ability on pick-and-roll situations can help the offence. Moreover, Vitali is a true point-guard because of leadership, experience and personality and he is never afraid to take the most important responsibilities. But thanks to his size and his wingspan, Vitali can be a versatile defender too, as he can also match up against forwards. Simone Pianigiani (who coached Vitali in Siena junior teams) knows he can rely on Vitali in several roles and situations. Last summer - during the EuroBasket Qualification Round - Vitali adjusted and played his rotation minutes as a forward.
