He was somewhat of a surprising selection on the 2010 FIBA World Championship squad, where Croatia showed up with five point guards, but since making his debut Stipcevic has been a member of the Croatian National Team ever since. However, he did not get significant minutes until last summer in the Qualification Round under coach Repesa. Stipcevic used the opportunity and his 19 minutes-on-average, proving he is a reliable back-up on the perimeter. Unlike his role with the national team, his shooting range is all but limited, as he is not afraid to launch his trademark high-arching three-pointers from very deep. A ferocious competitor, Stipcevic also thrives in pick and roll sets where his court vision regularly gets his big men easy buckets.
