The center received her first taste of representing her country as a teenager, back at the FIBA World Championship in 2006. Still only 25 but with vast experience, time is on her side to make an impact, having previously been handed limited minutes at the Olympics and EuroBasket Women in both 2007 and 2009 when she last featured. Behind the likes of Maria Stepanova and Irina Osipova in the queue, the time may have come for her to reemerge from the shadows, following two excellent seasons with Kursk playing for Coach Vainauskas. Indeed, Lisina was one of the first names mentioned by Stepanova when she retired and was asked about who would carry the torch in the frontcourt. Lisina is powerful, capable of dominating games and a good finisher at the basket with an excellent defensive presence. Her 11.3 points and 7.6 rebounds-per-game in EuroCup Women last season also confirm she is playing some of the best basketball of her career.
