Suzy Batkovic

Suzy Batkovic is a product of the famed Australian Institute of Sports. She made her breakthrough in Europe in 2002 when she joined French side Valenciennes. Batkovic spent two seasons with Valenciennes, winning the EuroLeague Women title in 2004. She moved to Spain and Ros Casares Valencia for the 2005-2005 season and Ekaterinburg in 2005-2006. …. A consistent member of the Australian national team, Batkovic has represented her country on 96 occasions. She won silver at the 2004 Athens Olympics. …. Batkovic made her WNBA in 2005, teaming up with fellow Australian Lauren Jackson on the Seattle Storm. …. She started playing basketball in 1994. In the 2002 Australian Women’s League (WNBL), she averaged 20 points, 12.2 rebounds and 2.1 blocks per game. Lists surfing as one of her major hobbies.
