Filipe Da Silva has been locked in a race against time to recover from injury after leaving the preparation camp earlier in the summer. If he doesn't recover and take his place in the roster it could prove a decisive blow to the hopes of Portugal since he is one of their premier players on the roster. Having spent his lengthy career playing in France, Portugal and Spain his veteran experience and skills would be sorely missed. If he does make it to Lithuania, then it will be a huge boost for Coach Palma. He does not only pull the strings offensively but he is also a capable defender too. Da Silva spent last season playing in Pro B and was outstanding with a remarkable 7.8 assists per game. Not surprisingly, Paris-Levallois have offered the playmaker a route back into ProA for 2011-12.
