During the past three or four years, Lucia Kupciokova has emerged as one of the main players for the Slovak Republic due mainly to her scoring ability and terrific rebounding skills. Having finished EuroBasket Women 2009 as the second best rebounder on the roster, she was the best rebounder during the Qualifying Round last summer. She recorded four double digit scoring lines in six games and racked up a double-double with the best field goal percentage on the team. The forward has more to her game than getting to the hoop, making her jump shots and impressing with her post play since she can also convert from downtown when left open. A good finisher, her shot selection and decision making are also important attributes. She is aggressive on defence with an ability to get steals for the team and now has plenty of experience for both club and country.
