Krunoslav Simon has been knocking at the door for quite some time when it comes to the senior National Team but has never quite managed to grab a spot - despite posting some nice numbers for his country at youth level. However, with some key injuries this summer, the swingman may finally be handed his opportunity. Certainly at club level he could hardly have done much more to impress. He has played with KK Zagreb for his entire career and in recent seasons he has regularly been one of the stand-out players both in the Croatian League, where he has attained All Star status, and also in European club competition where he has averaged double-digits for the past four seasons. Simon poses a genuine inside-outside threat, is a terrific rebounder and is also known for his tenacity defensively.
