It will be difficult for Kuzminskas to have a role in the national team this year. But this offensive-minded center, who can also play as a power forward, has good qualities, which were obvious in 2003-04, when he averaged 10.3ppg, at 61.3%FG, and 5.8rpg with Lietuvos rytas Vilnius. Before that, he started his professional career at Sakalai ("The Falcons" in Lithuanian), spent a year in the NCAA and two promising seasons in Siauliai (All-Star in 2002 and 2003). He played all the FIBA international youth competitions but rarely as the main weapon. After that good 2003-04 year, he had a hard time, last season, to find playing time for Lietuvos rytas, a powerhouse in Lithuania, winner of the ULEB Cup and finalist of the Baltic League and of the LKL (4.5ppg and 4.2rpg in 13 minutes).
