For four years, Simona Podesvova has been a tower of strength for MBK Ruzomberok both domestically and especially in EuroCup Women. Last season she was influential as the leader of the team with a fantastic double-double across the campaign averaging nearly 18 points and 12 rebounds per game. Particularly aggressive on the offensive boards, she will get any team valuable second chance opportunities and can make jump shots as well as finishing around the hoop. She is yet to make it to a EuroBasket Women tournament after missing out in 2009 but played during the Qualifying Round and was a valuable role player. She is now hoping to be given the opportunity to continue contributing after showcasing her skills to great effect in EuroCup Women last summer. |
