| Clemence Beikes
| Career: INSEP (France-NF1, 1998-2001), Calais (France-LFB, 2001-02), Valenciennes (France-LFB, 2002-03), Villeneuve-d'Ascq (France-LFB, 2003-04), Nice (France-LFB, 2004-06), Tarbes (France-LFB, 2006-07)
Clémence was the big surprise on the National Team roster last year, coming from a little club in southern France. Beikes is not a typical player as she is a point guard whose favourite part of the game is… rebounding! Rather tall for her position, Beikes is a very good athlete, solid and strong but also quick. These abilities enable her to be a good perimeter defender and this year she should be able to step up to the next level. The 23-year-old will need to improve her shooting range but for someone who stopped playing for more than six months at the age of 19 because of a bad knee injury, she is now enjoying every minute on the floor. | | |
