PLAYER HISTORY
Robert Garrett

Career: Rattelsdorf (Germany-2.Bundesliga, 1998-99), Würzburg (Germany-Bundesliga, 1999-2002), Frankfurt Skyliners (Germany-Bundesliga, 2002-04), Napoli (Italy-Lega, 2004), Teramo (Italy-Lega, 2005), Bamberg (Germany-Bundesliga, 2005-07).

Known as a pure offensive player, this former top scorer of the German Bundesliga (23 ppg in 2000) added some defensive skills to his game. Garrett will never be a first class defender but the 30 year-old veteran realised what it takes to play under coach Dirk Bauermann. At 1.93 m, Garrett is tough to guard because he can manoeuvre his 96 kg body pretty quickly for a player his size. A streaky shooter, Garrett can cause trouble whenever he gets hot. Garrett is the closest friend to superstar Dirk Nowitzki as both grew up in the same area and know each other since childhood. Garrett also works out with Nowitzki’s personal trainer Holger Geschwindner. He wears the name of his late brother on his sneakers.
