Six years after her last major tournament with Lithuania, the forward could be back again and offering her vast experience on the international stage which began back in 2002 at the FIBA World Championship for Women, one year after pouring in over 20 points-per-game at the FIBA World Junior Championship. Salkauske has averaged a double-digit points return in all four senior tournaments she has played and at 31, she is out to show she can still bring plenty to the table. Judging by her stellar club season in her homeland with Sirenos, she retains her qualities to be able to score both inside and out, as well as crash the boards. Her three-point shooting would be a big positive if she does get a place, as would her know-how defensively. She has played at a high level all of her career and with so many young players around, she could help alleviate any shortfall in experience.
