Another veteran player at the heart of the Belarus team, Trafimava has been the captain of the national team for several years and continues to lead by example. Many feel her contribution off the court is just as valuable as what she does on it, helping to develop the all-important chemistry in the locker room. Her versatility and appetite to rebound the ball remain particularly useful and if she can make some shots from behind the three-point line, then she can be a real offensive threat. She comes into the summer having had a solid season for Energy Ivanovo in the Russian Premier League, reflecting the great consistency of performance she has always showed in national team colours. Reads the game perfectly and seen as being irreplaceable as a defender of opposing wing players. She is so influential, many see her as being an on-court coach.
