A true pivot. Dalibor follows the road of former Croatian starting center Stojko Vrankovic, his idol since childhood. Born and raised in Germany, he moved to Croatia where he started playing basketball, what else? From the youth teams and senior team of Karlovac, to Zagreb, where he first played for Benston, and then for Cibona. In the summer of 2000 he was picked with the 24th pick of the NBA Draft by the Bulls. He didn't see much action though and came back to Europe to play with Olimpiakos Piraeus in 2003. In the summer of 2004 he signed for Fortitudo Bologna and slowly started to show his potential, after a nasty back injury sidelined him for a couple of months. Not really an offensive threat, but a solid defender and rebounder and a true presence in the paint. His 217 cm frame should scare plenty of opponents...
